Random Christmastime Pictures

Like the title of this post says,

here are some random pictures

of stuff during the holiday.

Aubree loves the cat, Cortez. He doesn't

run away like he did when Isabelle was

Aubree's age. Maybe he is too old and lazy,

or maybe he knows he can't win.

Anyway, Aubree loves to pet him and lay

on him like in this picture.

Isabelle all ready to go outside.

And Aubree all ready to go outside too.

Yesterday, Shelly and I took down the Christmas tree.

It began dropping needles a few days ago, and

every time you would touch the tree

it would drop a bunch more.

Here is a picture of the needles after we

undecorated most of the tree.

Can you tell where the tree was standing?

The girls love Drew's iPod Touch.

Isabelle plays games on it a lot.

The other day we all went to the Apple Store

in the mall. While Drew and Shelly were at the

counter with an employee, Isabelle was playing a game

on the iPod. It was funny to watch all the employees

and customers watching a three-year-old

maneuvering the game to do what she wanted it to.

Aubree likes watching movies on it.

It is a great babysitter.

She is watching Toy Story 3 in this picture.

Aubree is 18 months old and already addicted

to Apple products- it's a third-generation addiction.

The girls are harassing the cat in their matching pajamas,

even though the cat is outside.

Who teaches them this kind of stuff?

We had a good-sized breakfast on New Years Day.

Isabelle was savoring her sausage and

would not open her eyes for this pictures.

Aubree liked her sausage,

and was happy to pose for a picture.

Here Isabelle is closing her eyes again

as she eats her pancakes with home-made

strawberry jam and some squirt cream.

Aubree seems to be thinking 'hey, what's

this stuff on my nose'?

Aubree likes to help her mom with dishes and laundry,

even while on vacation.

Heidi and I took the girls to the neighborhood park

on New Years Day. Isabelle likes to climb the rock wall,

even though it is still a challenge for her.

Here is Aubree at the top of the climbing wall,

wanting to go down.

There was still some snow around from the storm

we had the day after Christmas.

Isabelle and Aubree and I had a snowball fight.

They had a great time and laughed every time they

hit me with snow.

What's wrong here? Isabelle wanted to get in

the little kid car. When Aubree saw her do that

she came over to give Isabelle a push.

Aubree wanted to climb up the slide, but every time

she was almost to the top, she would slide down.

She got frustrated and finally decided

to go down the slide correctly.

We all had a great time while the Shades visited.
