De Ja Vu All Over Again- More Snow

We got more cold, snow and wind last week. It started snowing on Monday afternoon, so I left work around 2:30 to get home before all the idiot drivers hit the road. It snowed until probably after midnight and then cleared up. We woke to about 8" of snow on the ground.

 Ah, my car needs cleared again.

 After cleaning my car off and clearing the driveway... again. I threw a bunch of the snow back in the street.

Winter Weather

On the second of January, we got almost 8 inches of snow and then it got really cold and windy for a few days.

Here are some pictures of the first week of the new year.

 The snow started in the early evening.

 I got up after midnight to go to the bathroom and took this picture of the snow still coming down.

 Almost 8 inches before seven in the morning.

 Looks like I have some snow shoveling to do before I go to work. See how the wind whipped the snow around the car? Yeah, the snow always drifts onto the driveway to make the shoveling job take more time.

 The rest of the driveway I need to shovel.

 Now I have to fight the sloppy roads to get to work.

The following Monday when I drove to work it was 62 degrees, the next day it was a little chillier. I don't think we've ever seen temperatures below zero in the 15 years we have lived here. A few days later it was up in the 60's again. Pretty interesting weather so far this winter.

A Pre-Christmas Trip to the Shades

The weekend before Christmas, Heidi and I drove up to spend a few days with the Shades. It's been over a year since I was up there, so I was really looking forward to going. The girls knew grandma was coming, but didn't know I was coming.

 I have a little 'treasure box' that I put candy and other things in each night when the girls are at our house, they check it out in the morning to see what goodies are in it. I took the treasure box with me when we visited Sue and Adam and Tyson in September and trained Tyson on it. I also took it on our trip out west in October and trained Evelyn on it too.

Anyway, I brought the treasure box with me and I put these rainbow suckers in it. First thing in the morning, the girls found them. They are holding the suckers on their heads as if they were unicorns.

 The girls got new bunk beds and Aubree is showing me that the top bunk is hers.
