We have been having a lot of rain this spring.
That's great, cuz the plants are growing well.
Some of the rain has been in thunderstorms
and a vicious thunderstorm rumbled through
here earlier in the week.
This storm had powerful winds, hail and downpours.
It came around dusk and later, and the next day
when I checked out the plants this is what I found.

The leaves of my squash and zucchini plants
all have holes in them from the hail.

This poor zucchini plant got some of its
leaves severed from the storm.

Here is a close-up of the hail damage
on some of the vegetables.

My potatoes all got beat down.
Things are recovering, but it is taking a while.
I hope that is the last of the wicked storms
for a bit. At least until the growing
season is over.
