We say goodbye to a good friend of the family for ten years. The day after we came home from our trip to CA for Sue's wedding, our cat, Scout, disappeared. We don't know the circumstances that prevented him from returing home after being routinely let out. We just hope they were peaceful.
Scout was born in April 1999 on a neighbor's rooftop when we lived in Placentia, CA. He traveled across the country with us when we moved that summer and adapted to living with us in a rental home for a year, Heidi's mom's house for several months while our house was built, and our new home since the spring of 2001.
He had a great personality and possessed a lot of character.
