A week ago Drew, Michelle and Isabelle came to visit
during Drew's spring break.
Here are some photos of what we did during the week.
Here, you can tell Isabelle is back!
A little swing action in the backyard.
Even some time to slow down and
smell some of the first flowers of spring.
Gotta help grandpa with the backyard landscaping
by rearranging some of the rocks.
Let's see what is in this huge purse of Katie's.
Isabelle loves to line things up.
It doesn't matter what it is, it has to be in a line.
She loves the neighborhood park and each time she comes,
she gets better at climbing all the playground equipment.
Izzy loves to sit down and go down the slide all by herself now.

Oh, yeah, she's gotta walk the benches in the gazebo too.

On another day we visited the new police station where grandma works.
Isabelle got busted!
Not really, but she did get to sit on the bench
back by the cells and get handcuffed.
She didn't like that too much.
Hopefully that feeling will stick with her during her lifetime!
Ah, always time to brush her teeth, even on her busy schedule.
And Isabelle ALWAYS has time to sit down and play on the Mac!

One day grandma, grandpa, mom and dad and Isabelle went
to the Delaware Museum of Natural History to check things out.
She had fun riding the deer out front.
The Shade family posing with an ostridge.
They had bug-robots to play with.
Here the Shades are controlling all 6 legs
and the direction the bug walks.
Isabelle got in the action and was chased by the bug-robot.
Wouldn't you know it...
... just as you sit down to rest,
some bug comes along to mess everything up!
On no! Don't turn around-
there's a big scorpion behind you!!
Isabelle is checking out the critters living in this tree.
Ahhhh! Time to just take a break on one of my favorite blankets.

One more thing ...
While the Shades were here, Cortez the cat got a bath.
You can tell that it is one of his least-favorite things.
