One of the four scholarships that Katie got at the Senior Awards (see post) was from the Chamber of Commerce of our area. It also included 4 tickets to the local minor league baseball game. The night of the game was all about our local area ball teams, scouts, scholarship winners, etc. So part of the pre-game events was the presentation of checks to the scholarship winners. No ordinary checks, as you will see.

Katie said the most embarrassing thing was walking back to our seats with the giant check.

Uh, I don't think it fits.
Heidi wanted to fold it in half to get it in the car.
I thought about how to fit the check in the car for awhile and decided to put it on the ceiling of the car. We held the front of the check up with the front visors.
And we held up the back of the check with the center headrest of the back seat.
Then we headed to the Apple store to pick up Katie's graduation present, a new MacBook Air.
She got help setting up the computer and then we were on our way.
