Michelle and the girls came down to visit for a couple of weeks at the end of June. Here are some pictures of the things we did during their visit.
First of all, Isabelle had to help me harvest some vegetables from the garden that she helped me plant in April. (For a look at that blog, click HERE.) Here, she is pointing to the tall tomato plants.
Now she is pointing to the pole beans.
Isabelle found some yellow summer squash.
She can't wait for them to cook. Plenty of squash and zucchini end up in the house with little kid bite marks in them.
One night we had a bonfire to teach the girls how to make smores. (Well, it wasn't quite dark yet, they have early bedtimes, so we had to have the bonfire at dusk.)
Shelly helping Isabelle roast her marshmallow.
Aubree just wanted to eat marshmallows. She looks pretty intoxicated with marshmallows here.
The gang at the bonfire. The girl in the middle is Shelly's good friend, Nancy. She was in the area to have her baby in Philadelphia.
Aubree getting the hang of making smores- she has her mallow and her brew (milk) and is all set.
Isabelle chowing down.
Some of the days were quite warm, so the girls swam in the little blow-up pool. Aubree loved pouring water into the bucket, then pouring the water out of the bucket.
The girls also liked playing on the swing-set in 'Papa's Park' in the backyard.
Shelly and Nancy getting ready for the 4th Annual Greenway Ct Water Balloon Fight. The next post, below, has pictures of that annual event.
Katie and Isabelle also helped stockpile all the ammunition.
Here is some video of the preparations for the water fight.
More vegetable ripened while they were here, so we had to pick some more. This time Aubree helped out.
Just a picture of the girls goofin' around.
The End

Sweet pictures! I need to steal some, like the ones of use filling up water ballons. I always enjoy seeing things from your perspective when we visit.
