Well despite the snowy and cold winter we had,
there are signs of spring unfolding around the house.
Here are a few pictures of the first
flowers beginning to appear.

The snow pile on the driveway officially disappeared
on Thursday, March, 11. That is a month after out last
snowstorm. There are still mountains of snow in some
of the parking lots in the area. But that will probably be
gone soon because it has been in the high 60's and low 70's
lately. And last weekend we got 3 or 4 inches of rain, to
help melt things around here.

Some of my bulbs are coming up now and flowering.

Look close in this picture and you can see
a ladybug enjoying the flowers.

Here is a close-up of one of the flowers from some
of the bulbs I have planted years ago.

This patch of bulbs was planted way before the
bird's nest spruce on the left. That bush is getting
larger and encroaching on the bulbs now.

One last picture of some bulbs growing
among some ground-cover I have under
my big birch tree in the backyard.
The End
