2. Heidi was called as Young Women's President, a calling she has prepared long and hard for, having already put two girls through the Young Women's program. Now it is mom/grandma Menasco's turn to enjoy Young Women's with little sister Katie. Way to go mom! She definitely works hard to do the best she can and puts a lot of thought into the young women, their needs, and what she and her presidency can do to make this program what it should be.
3. Tim flew to southern California over Labor Day weekend for a surprise 80th birthday party for his father, Tim Menasco. Tim's mother, Muriel Menasco, sister Maury of Oregon, sister Lorinda of Florida, and Lorinda's grandson Brayden were all there for the birthday bash. Dad/grandpa works for The Middletown Transcript and took the picture below with some of the newspapers for the segment "Where in the World has the Middletown Transcript Been?"
4. Sam was accepted to Brigham Young University's Computer Engineering program. He plans on graduating in 2009 and then is off to make the big bucks. He also became a proud owner of a MacBookPro while working at BYU's Cougar Computers. Once quitting that job, he became a teacher at the MTC and has come to love it.
5. Katie was a team member of the all-star M.O.T. Delaware District 1 Softball Champions. She played short stop, second base, and center field during the tournament. The tournament was a double elimination. They won all their games in the tournament. 
6. Brian Beavis Menasco continued to work at HH and then got a job at Play n' Trade. Of all the Menasco's, he probably made the most money that he wasn't afraid to spend on himself. Or his room. Or his car. Or at all. Hence the picture of his room and all the "loot" he has stored there. Two computers? Honestly. Oh, and we are happy to report that the now-old-enough to drive teenager has a current girlfriend. Go Brian. It's your birthday. Have a party....
7. Sue got engaged! Sue is engaged to be married to Adam Caputo in California this May. Adam is a cool CA kid studying Petroleum Engineering in TX, where Sue will move after the wedding. She is graduating with her Associates this April from LDS Business College.
8. Isabelle Mia Shade, daughter of Drew and Michelle Shade, was born by c-section on June 30th, 2007 weighing 5 lbs. 7 0z. and measuring 18 inches long. Isabelle spent 15 days in the NICU because her lungs were not fully developed, came home with an apnea monitor and oxygen tanks, and now is a happy, healthy 7 1/2 month old baby girl. She is all smiles, loves to "talk" and play, and keeps her parents on their toes.
